Amy Roeder is a new member of the Graduate Acting Company at the University of Georgia in Athens where she performs, directs and teaches. She recetly performed in The Man Who Came to Dinner at UGA and looks forward to Trojan Women and directing Graceland in the spring. Amy is also an original mainstage cast member of the Improv Asylum in Boston. While at the Asylum, Amy was an instructor in their Training Center, directed graduate revues, directed expansion shows and performed on the mainstage at CIF 2001. She has also been an artistic associate of Gotham City Improv and the Chicago Improv Festival as well as serving as a drama therapist for Project Liberty with the New York City Public Schools. She was part of Chicago's premiere improv co-op theatre, The Playground, where she played with the acclaimed member team, The Fling. Amy has been featured on HBO's "Sketchpad2," been seen on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," appeared on page 44 of the May 2002 issue of "Maxim" (really), lost on "Jeopardy!" (double really), and starred in a national commercial that some right-wing nutjob's website condemned for weakening the fabric of the American family. Amy thinks Georgia is weird, but in a really cool way.
